Mike Mahaney leads Series points lead by two over Felix Roy and Mat Williamson

The DIRTcar 358 Modified Series returns to Fulton Speedway in Fulton, NY, on Wednesday, June 25, for the Highbank Holdup. Drivers will battle in a 60-lap Feature paying $4,000-to-win.

Joining the 358 Modifieds is Fulton’s DIRTcar Sportsman division.

For more on the DIRTcar Northeast, follow the DIRTcar Facebook page and the Series’ X/(Twitter) page.

Here’s a look at the key storylines entering Fulton:

Close Battle at the Top: Entering Wednesday’s Highbank Holdup, the top three drivers in the Series points standings are separated by two points.

After a third-place finish at Airborne Park Speedway and a second at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park, Mike Mahaney has a two-point lead over defending Series champion Felix Roy and 2023 Series champion Mat Williamson.

Mahaney is red-hot after two wins and a second in his last three DIRTcar 358 Modified events. The Elizabethtown, NY driver can keep that momentum rolling at a place he’s been successful at in the past, finishing in the top five in all four of his DIRTcar 358 Modified Series starts at Fulton.

“Smooth Shoe” is searching for his second career Series victory.

Roy, meanwhile, has only made one Series start at Fulton, finishing eighth in 2023. He enters the event with two straight top fives after finishing second at Airborne and fourth at Glen Ridge.

The Napierville, QC driver, who’s searching for his first Series victory, has four 358 Modified wins in 10 starts this season.

Defending Super DIRTcar Series champion Mat Williamson has the most success at Fulton out of the three drivers. “Money Mat” has won two of the four DIRTcar 358 Modified Series events he’s entered and is the defending winner of the track’s Outlaw 200.

Williamson, from St. Catharines, ON, is aiming for his 17th career Series victory, and second of the year after winning the opener at Airborne.

Trying to Keep Pace: After scoring top fives on Sunday at Glen Ridge, Jordan McCreadie and Andrew Buff find themselves fourth and fifth in Series points, respectively.

McCreadie enters the Highbank Holdup 14 points behind Mahaney after a third-place finish on Sunday. However, the Watertown, NY driver is hoping for better success than his previous three Series starts at the 3/8-mile oval. His best finish is a 10th in 2023.

Buff, meanwhile, is 16 points behind Mahaney and has the chance to defend home turf on Wednesday. The Latham, NY driver, who finished fifth at Glen Ridge on Sunday, has a top five and top 10 at Fulton this season. He also scored a Feature win at the track in 2024.

Timmer Time: Over the past three seasons, no one has been better than Tim Sears Jr. at Fulton.

The three-time and defending Series champion has 17 Feature wins and three championships at the track since 2022. However, he’s still searching for a Series win at Fulton.

In four Series starts at the Oswego County facility, the Hastings, NY driver has three top 10s. His lone top five came during OktoberFAST in 2020, when he finished third.

“Timmer” is searching for his second Series triumph after taking the checkered flag in 2018 at Brewerton Speedway.

Fulton Faithful: While Sears has won the last three titles, Billy Dunn is currently ahead of him in the track’s point standings. The Watertown, NY driver leads Sears by 20 points after grabbing a win and finishing in the top five in all four Features this season.

Dunn has made three Series starts at Fulton, finishing third, ninth, and 19th. The 2021 Series champion is aiming for his 13th career Series win, which would tie him for 10th all-time with Matt Sheppard.

He also has momentum entering the weekend after earning a victory at Can-Am Speedway last Friday.

Another Fulton regular with a victory in 2025 is last year’s Series runner-up Lance Willix. Like Dunn, the Theresa, NY driver has finished in the top five in every Feature he’s started at the track this season.

Willix has five Feature wins in 2025 so far and is searching for his third career Series win.
