Trenca Excited for Trip to Brockville Ontario Speedway This Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – FULTON, N.Y. (Oct. 10, 2018) – Joe Trenca is heading to Canada to tackle the 1000 Islands RV Fall Nationals this Saturday.

The Mucci Motorsports driver will make his debut at Brockville Ontario Speedway in Brockville, Ontario, during the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints event.

“I’m excited to get back in the 360 sprint car, especially after running the 410 last weekend,” he said. “I’ve only been to Brockville once and it was only for time trials. I was there with the World of Outlaws in 2015. We got time trials in and then it rained out so we didn’t get to race.”

Trenca likely made his final start of the season with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series last Saturday at Fulton Speedway.

“We didn’t time as well as we hoped,” he said. “I think we were off in gearing a little because the car felt good, but our time wasn’t. Then in the heat race the track was kind of locked down.”

Trenca qualified 17th quickest before he finished where he started – sixth – in a heat race. That lined him up on the inside of the ninth row for the A Main.

“The track tricked us a little,” he said. “We weren’t prepared for it and we fell back. It stayed fast all night and then in the feature about five laps in it went pretty slick. I didn’t think it would stay fast for all 25 laps, but I didn’t think it’d get slick so quickly.”

Trenca held on for a 19th-place finish. It tied his season-best result with the series.
