2010 Fulton Speedway Gladiator Rules
Any 4-cylinder car with a maximum wheel base of 104" and a complete stock, frame and suspension. Dash, steering and panels must remain stock for that make and model. All insulation under hood must be removed.
- Stock carburetor / fuel injection system for that make and model. No Turbo Chargers.
- Stock transmission for that make and model.
- Battery must remain under hood.
- Stock unaltered rear end for that make and model.
- Passenger tires only. Wheel and tires must stock for chassis make. 70 maximum width. Tire sizes: 13" tires may be no larger than 185-70-13. 14" tires may be no larger than 195-70-14. 15 inch tires allowed for car which came stock. One inch lugnuts mandatory.
- Gas tank: Approved fuel cells mandatory. Fuel cell must be fully encased in a steel or aluminum container with a minimum thickness of 20 gauge. No flashing. Fuel cells must be located within body shell, between main fram rails and securely mounted.
- Roll Bars MANDATORY: A FULL 6 POINT roll cage with headrest constructed of mild steel tubing is MANDATORY. Major tubes MUST be 1˝ O.D. x .090 wall thickness MINIMUM. The major tubes are all tubes in the six-point cage and the driver's door bars. Driver and passenger openings MUST have three side bars with uprights. Front firewall must be stock with holes plugged. A 20 gauge metal firewall must be installed behind the driver, extended to rear window opening and completely enclose the rear deck.
- Driver's door AND PASSENGER DOOR must be welded or chained shut. Driver side door plates mandatory. (A leaf spring separated and welded to the outside door is allowed, or it's equivalent.)
- Approved aluminum racing seat mandatory. Seat must be fastened to frame and or roll cage in 6 spots with a minumum of 6 3/8 bolts. Four on the bottom and two on the seat back.
- Approved helmets (Snell 2000 or better), race type seat belts (5 point harness minimum fastened to roll cage), and nomex gloves required. A firesuit is mandatory. Neck brace is mandatory. Shoes must be leather or nomex.
- Window net is MANDATORY. Fire extinguisher in driver's cockpit is recommended.
- All glass including windshield must be removed, including tail lights, markers, and mirrors. When windshield is removed, put in a windscreen with 3 bars in front of driver, no less than 1" in diameter of tubing and no less than 8" on center. Third brake light must remain intact and operable. To compete, cars must be cleaned out from any loose material, broken glass, etc.
- Driver floor pan must be complete. No holes. Exhaust must pass driver's compartment and then exit the car. Mufflers mandatory.
- All cars are subject to a minimum specification inspection at any time. It is the responsibility of the driver to prepare their car free of defects and in safe racing conditions.
- Car numbers must be at least 24" tall and contrasting in color.
- Drive shafts must be painted white, drive shaft loop must be installed if applicable.
Special Rules
Management only engine claim in effect at all times. Claim amount is $400.00.
Driver CANNOT drive in another division (this is an amateur class).
No suggestive language, symbols, numbers allowed on car.
One Way Radios Mandatory.
Gladiator cars can compete with the Four Cylinder Super Stock class at Brewerton Speedway.
