EAST SYRACUSE, NY – The 2007 race season for both Brewerton and Fulton Speedways came to a close last Friday as over 350 people attended the annual sister track Season Awards Banquet at the Doubletree Hotel in East Syracuse. Williams out of Scotia, NY continued his late season hot streak winning the Gater Racing News / Motorsports Expo Sportsman 30-lap Super DIRTcar Series, while Stefanski of Wheatfield, NY took the 30-lap Leaf Racewear Pro Stock Super DIRTcar Series event. FULTON, NY - Billy Decker of Unadilla won his first Victoria 200 paying $25,000 to win on Saturday at Fulton Speedway. Decker started fourth and took the lead on lap-106 in the second half of the event, a lead he would never give up. Last Saturday at Fulton Speedway on A-Verdi Storage Containers Night, Justin Barger of Montrose bested a field of 32 ASCS Patriot Sprint Cars for the 25-lap victory on the high banks from the pole position after sweeping the nights events. Also winning were invader Phil Marsden of Mexico in the UMP Street Stocks and track champion Mark Johnston of Syracuse in the 4-Cylinder Enduro 50-lap Victoria Championship event. The popular King’s Smash’em Crash’em Demolition Derby was a draw between Brent Relyea and Bryan Kolenda as both cars were running but locked together at the finish. Read More

On Avon Products of Oswego, Maple View Garage night last Saturday at Fulton Speedway, Tommy Sears held off a fast closing Jimmy Phelps in the closing laps to win his first ever 35-lap DIRTcar Modified feature at the track. Shawn Donath won in a photo finish over Alan Fink to take yet another victory in the 20-lap DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Jim Wallace was another first time winner taking the checkers in the UMP Street Stocks. FULTON, NY (August 21) – The last time the Victoria 200 Rules Modified Mini Series ran at the Fulton Speedway, Billy Decker lost by a bumper in a photo finish to Gypsum teammate Pat Ward. On Tuesday night Decker made sure that didn’t happen again, Decker grabbed the lead from Ryan Phelps on lap-6 and never looked back dominating the 35-lap, $2,000 to win feature. There were two brand new winners as 16 year-old Jeff Isabell, Jr. won the DIRTcar Sportsman Modified main and Scott Conover took top honors in the UMP Pro Stocks. Ward, who won $2,000 for his efforts in the 35-lap main, beat fast closing teammate Billy Decker by .059 seconds at the checkered flag in a thrilling photo finish in the green to checker open competition event.
