2008 Trucker's Night at Fulton Speedway
Fulton, NY - By Dave Medler- This Saturday night May 10th the Big Block Modifieds make their return to the banks of the Fulton Speedway on Truckers night. Truckers show your CDL License and get half off the grandstand price.
The night will start off with the feature for the DIRTcar Crate Sportsman Modified that were on the track when the heavy rains hit last Saturday. From there it will be a regular show of Big Block Modifieds, Sportsman Modifieds, Street Stocks, Rookie Crate Sportsman, Mod-Lites and the Enduros.
Look for a tough and competitive Modified field through out the 2008 season led by defending track champion Jimmy Phelps in the family owned J&B Installations, No. 99j. Looking to dethrone Phelps will be top runners, Alan Johnson, Ryan Phelps, Steve Hulsizer, Kevin Bates, Jim Witko, Mike Bowman and rookie Tony Steiner. Look for Jeff Rudalavage to make some noise when he comes to the speedway.
Jeremy Pitcher will be back to try and repeat his 2007 title in the Sportsman Modifieds in the MDV Construction, No.14. Look for tough competition from Sammy Reakes IV, John Pietrowicz and A.J Kingsley. Already making strong runs as rookies at other tracks are the top two in the 2007 Pro Stock ranks, Bill Clark Jr. And Jason Parkhurst plus Jim Evans looks to make their mark. Rookie Crate Sportsman Champion Timmy Sears Jr. Has his sights set on the same success he had in 2007.
In the UMP Street Stocks Jordan,NY pilot Ron Hawker will be back to give a run at another track championship. Jim Wallace, Steve Woodworth, Dan Hoffman Sr, Nick Rizzo, Steve Crouse and others will be right there to try and stake their claim to the 2008 title.
In the Rookie Crate Sportsman Modifieds you never know who is going to show up. After the first race John Wilber parked the Sammy Reakes III, 17b in victory lane. Katelyn Kane, Scott Fowler, Chris Pullen, fromer 4 cylinder Super Stock runner Claude Hutchings Jr will be looking for victory lane.
The gates will open Saturday night at 5pm with the first green set to go at 7pm. Adults 15 and over are $12.00, Children 10-14 - $5 and Children 9 and under are free. Pit Passes are DIRT Members- $20 with non-Members - $25.
