FULLER PASSES WARD COMING OUT OF THE FOURTH TURN OF THE FINAL LAP FOR DIRT BIG BLOCK MODIFIED WIN

DIRT Modified feature winner Tim Fuller

FULTON, NY...Tim Fuller passed Pat Ward coming out of the fourth turn of the final circuit to claim the 35-lap DIRT Big Block Modified feature race win at Fulton Speedway last Saturday night. Ward and Fuller came upon two lapped cars entering the final lap which made the race outcome in doubt until the finish line. Fuller and Ward came together coming out of the fourth turn and Fuller then won the race to the finish line.

DIRT Big Block Modified rookie driver Joe Isabell raced out to the feature lead at the start of the main event. Isabell led the first two circuits. Second year DIRT Big Block Modified driver Chad Phelps took command of the top spot on lap three. Phelps would lead the field through lap-15. Danny Johnson took possession of the lead on lap-16. Johnson's lead was a brief one with Phelps back in command of the field on lap-17.

Pat Ward became the fourth leader of the event on lap-18. Ward attempted to run away and hide from the rest of the field, but several contenders were working their way to the front. Fuller started to close the gap between himself and Ward. The top two entered the final circuit with a pair of lapped cars running side by side. That left the outcome of the race in doubt until the finish line.

Fuller got a good run coming out of the fourth turn, while Ward wasn't about to give-up any ground. The leaders touched coming out of the fourth turn and Fuller won the race to the finish line and earned his second victory of the season in the Native Poker sponsored entry. Ward had to settle for second with Alan Johnson, Danny Johnson and Jimmy Phelps completing the top five feature finishers.

Sam Reakes IV won his second 20-lap DIRT Sportsman feature race of the season last Saturday night. Shawn Donath, Shane Donath, Jeremy Pitcher and Joey Williams finished in positions second through fifth respectively. Alan Fink led the first four circuits of the main event. Chris Hile led the field during laps five through seven. Reakes made the winning move past Hile on lap eight.

Bob Buono claimed his third 20-lap DIRT Pro Stock feature race win last Saturday night. Billy Clark, Freddy Dennis, Ron Marsden and Dave Meeks completed the top five feature finishers. Dave Briggs led the opening lap of the main event with Clark leading the way the next two circuits. Buono made the winning move on lap four in the caution marred event.

DIRT Sportsman winner Sammy Reakes, IV.

Dave Mannise earned his second 20-lap Pure Stock feature race win of the season last Saturday night. Gary Barton, Ron Hawker, Rusty Marsden and Quinton Burton followed the winner across the finish line. Jim Wallace led the first three laps of the feature race. Mannise made the winning move on lap four.

Chuck Powelczyk won the Four Cylinder Super Stock feature race last Saturday night. Joey Delacruz, Russell Erwin, Glen Erwin and Claude Hutchings Jr. finished in positions second through fifth respectively.

Chad Guthrie earned the victory in the 25-lap Four Cylinder Enduro main event. Morris Mathews, Josh Herbert, Mark Johnston and Matt Kitts finished in positions second through fifth respectively.

Professional DIRT Motorsports competition will continue this Saturday with the DIRT Big Block Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks, Pure Stocks and the ESDCA Mod Lites all in action.
