ANNUAL SHOWDOWN AT SUNDOWN CANCELLED DUE TO WET GROUNDS AND ROAD
CLOSINGS IN SOUTHERN NEW YORK STATE
FULTON, NY...The 9th Annual Showdown at
Sundown scheduled for Fulton Speedway on Wednesday, June 28 has been
cancelled due to wet grounds and road closings in Southern New York
State. Fulton Speedway and DIRT Motorsports officials will talk about a
possible date to reschedule the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRT Series
with the announcement expected in a few days.
Professional DIRT Motorsports
competition will continue this Saturday, July 1 with the DIRT Big Block
Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks, Pure Stocks, Four Cylinder
Super Stocks and the Four Cylinder Enduro racers all in action. Adult
admission is priced at $12 with ages 10-14 admitted for only $5. All
those nine years of age and under will be admitted free of charge.
The next major special at Fulton
Speedway is set for Tuesday, July 25 when the World of Outlaws Sprint
Car Series make their second ever appearance at the high-banked track.
Advance sale tickets are available by calling the track office at
315-593-6531. Tickets will also be sold on each race night leading up to
the show at both Brewerton and Fulton Speedway. Brooke Tatnell came from
the 10th starting position to win the first ever WoO show at the track
last July.
