ALAN JOHNSON DOMINATES FULTON SPEEDWAY FIELD FOR VICTORY ON TERRELL'S POTATO CHIPS NIGHT

DIRT Modified feature winner Alan Johnson

FULTON, NY...Alan Johnson simply dominated the DIRT Big Block Modified field at Fulton Speedway last Saturday night in the 35-lap Terrell's Potato Chips main event. Johnson charged from the 18th starting position to the lead in just eight laps and was never challenged after that. The victory for the Jeff Rudalavage owned, Native Poker sponsored ride was worth $2,000.

Tim Sears raced out to the early lead at the start of the Terrell's Potato Chips DIRT Big Block Modified main event. Action was slowed on lap three for a minor tangle involving Tim Kerr and Dan Vauter. Sears set a fast pace and would lead the opening seven circuits. Alan Johnson took the top spot away from Tim Sears on lap eight. Johnson came flying through the field from the 18th starting position to the lead in just eight laps.

Once in front the multi time Fulton Speedway Track Champion and Victoria 200 Champion was never challenged. The battle for second was a tremendous one, however, with Jimmy Phelps winning that battle at the end. Tim Fuller, Pat Ward and Tom Sears finished in positions second through fifth respectively. Jim Witko, Tim Sears, Kevin Bates, Scott Prentice and Chad Phelps completed the top ten feature finishers.

Joey Williams claimed his second 20-lap DIRT Sportsman feature race win last Saturday night. Shawn Donath, John Pietrowicz, Darren Forbes and Sam Reakes IV finished in positions second through fifth. Williams made the winning move past Chris Hile on lap-14 and then never gave it back. Joe August Jr. led the opening four circuits of the main event.

Bob Buono won his second 20-lap DIRT Pro Stock feature race last Saturday night. Jack Terrell, Ron Marsden, Jim Evans and Dave Briggs finished in positions second through fifth respectively. Dick Parkhurst and Jason Parkhurst took turns leading in the early going of the main event. Buono inherited the lead on lap-13 when the two Parkhurst's came together battling for the top spot.

Eric Richardson makes hard contact with the turn three wall in the DIRT Modified feature.

Joe Briere won his first ever 20-lap Pure Stock main event last Saturday night. Ron Hawker, Phil Marsden, Steve Woodworth and Gary Barton followed Briere across the finish line in the competitive event. Briere made the winning move past Phil Marsden on lap-15. Jim Wallace and Ricky DeGroff were also feature race leaders in the event with plenty of three and four wide competition.

Doug Williams won his second straight ESDCA Mod Lite feature race of the season last Saturday night. Dan Williams, Darren Austin, Lowell Zehr and Tim Devendorf finished in positions second through fifth respectively. Darren Austin and Dan Williams were feature race leaders before Doug Williams took command for good on lap-14.

Professional DIRT Motorsports competition will continue this Saturday at Fulton Speedway with the DIRT Big Block Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks, Pure Stocks, New York State Modified Midget Series and the Four Cylinder Enduro racers in action. Regular admission prices will be in effect. Adult admission is $12, ages 10-14 priced at only $5 and all those nine years of age and under will be admitted free of charge.
