FULLER FLIES TO DIRT BIG BLOCK MODIFIED FEATURE WIN AND TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP AT FULTON SPEEDWAY ON TRACEY ROAD EQUIPMENT / OSWEGO COUNTY ATV CLUB NIGHT

The champagne cork flies through the air as Tim Fuller and the B&F General Machine team celebrate the 2004 DIRT Big Block Modified title.

FULTON, NY...Tim Fuller was on a mission Saturday night at Fulton Speedway. Fuller dominated the 35-lap caution free Tracey Road Equipment / Oswego County ATV Club main event leaving only six cars on the lead lap. In the process the Edwards, N.Y. driver claimed the first ever DIRT Big Block Modified Track Championship in the B&F General Machine ride.

Pete Taylor raced out to the early lead at the start of the Tracey Road Equipment / Oswego County ATV Club DIRT Big Block Modified feature from the outside pole starting position. After five circuits Taylor continued to lead the 25-car starting field and was being followed in the top five by John Barker, Brian Murphy, Ryan Phelps and Alan Johnson.

Taylor would lead the first 11 circuits in a strong effort for the DIRT Big Block Modified rookie driver. Fuller took the top spot away from Taylor on lap-12. Fuller started the event in the 13th starting position and charged to the front in only 12 circuits.

At the halfway mark Fuller was being chased in the top five by Taylor, Ryan Phelps, Johnson and Jeff Rudalavage. Murphy, Pat Ward, Billy Decker, Jimmy Phelps and John Barker raced in positions sixth through tenth respectively at the halfway mark.

Fuller was able to pull away from the field with the event going without a caution period. Several battles for position were staged throughout the top ten. Alan Johnson finished in the second position, while Jeff Rudalavage made a late race charge to finish third. Decker and Ward completed the top five feature finishers. Ryan Phelps, Taylor, Matt Sheppard, Vinnie Vitale and Brian Murphy completed the top ten finishers.

Billy Decker earned the victory in the 25-lap DIRT 358 Modified feature which was also caution free. Pat Ward, Tim Fuller, Alan Johnson and Jimmy Phelps followed Decker across the finish line. Stewart Friesen, Ryan Baye, Jim Mahaney, Bobby Varin and John Barker finished in positions sixth through tenth respectively.

Ryan Richardson claimed the win in the 20-lap DIRT Sportsman feature race. Donnie Wetmore Jr., Mark Yorker, Tom Juhl and Kevin Bates completed the top five feature finishers. Chad Phelps claimed the Track Championship by just five points ahead of Tom Juhl.

Lee Burnett won the 20-lap DIRT Pro Stock feature race as well as the Track Championship. Paul Stoneburg, Alan Fink, Jack Terrell and Dave Meeks finished in positions second through fifth respectively.

Chad Crouse won the 15-lap Pure Stock main event Saturday night. Rusty Marsden, Dave Emmons, Ron Hawker and Gary Barton followed in the top five. Rusty Marsden earned the Track Championship by virtue of his second place finish.

Chad Guthrie earned the victory in the 25-lap Four Cylinder Enduro. Jerry Herbert, George Ritchie Jr., Chad Dupra and Randy Shantel completed the top five feature finishers in the 25-car starting field.

This Saturday at Fulton Speedway will be Avon Products Family Fun Night. A $1,000 to win Demolition Derby will highlight the evening. In race competition will be the Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars / Mod Lites, Four Cylinder Super Stocks, Four Cylinder Enduro cars and One on One Spectator Races. Admission is only $5 with all those nine years of age and under admitted at no cost.
