RUSS MARSDEN CLAIMS FULTON PURE STOCK WIN IN FRONT OF LARGE CROWD ON AVON PRODUCTS NIGHT

FULTON, NY...Russ Marsden earned the 20-lap Pure Stock feature race victory in front of the large crowd on Saturday at Fulton Speedway on Avon Products Family Fun Night. Chuck Powelczyk, Ray DonHauser, Chad Dupra and Nick Nicastro also earned feature race victories during the action packed show.

Phil Marsden, Chad Crouse, Blaine Smith and Mike Welch followed Russ Marsden across the finish line at the conclusion of the 20-lap Pure Stock finale. Dave Emmons, Ken Conners, Ron Hawker, Dan Hoffman Sr. and Nate Peckham finished in positions sixth through tenth respectively. Phil Marsden led the first 12 laps of the feature before Russ slipped by on lap-13. The duo then battled until the finish.

Chuck Powelczyk claimed the victory in the 15-lap Four Cylinder Super Stock feature. Jeff Herbert, Rich Murtaugh, Doug Farnsworth and Russell Erwin completed the top five feature finishers. Jeff Herbert and Joey Delacruz were early feature race leaders. Powelczyk took the top spot on lap four and never gave it back. Jerry Curcie Sr., Jim Quinn, Chris Kranz, Walt VanEpps and Bruce Ackley completed the top ten feature finishers.

Ray Donhauser was the winner of the Dwarf Car / Mod Lite main event. Darren Austin, Mike Isabell, Chris Propheter and Doug Williams completed the top five feature finishers.

Chad Dupra earned the victory in the 25-lap Four Cylinder Enduro main event. Carl Wilkins, Jerry Herbert, Jason Spaulding and George Ritchie Jr. completed the top five feature finishers in the 34-car starting field.

Nick Nicastro was the winner of the King's Smash'em Crash'em Demolition Derby. Alan Fink was the runner-up.

The next event at Fulton Speedway is slated for Saturday, September 25. Victoria Championship races will be contested for the Dwarf Cars / Mod Lites, Four Cylinder Super Stocks and the Four Cylinder Enduro cars. Complete shows for the Sportsman, Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks will also be contested with the feature winners earning a guaranteed starting spot for Victoria 200 Weekend. 358 Modified hot lap sessions will also take place.
