         MARSDEN, GARAFOLO, WASSNER & HOFFMAN WINNERS ON FAMILY FUN NIGHT

FULTON, NY...Phil Marsden, Bob Garafolo, Russ Wassner and Dan Hoffman Sr. were the feature race winners at Fulton Speedway last Saturday during the 3rd Annual Family Fun Night. Marsden continued his strong season with the win in the 15-lap Pure Stock finale. Bob Garafolo was the feature winner in the 20-lap Dwarf Car Main event. Russ Wassner won his first ever Four Cylinder Stock feature and Dan Hoffman Sr. came out the winner in the 36-car Four Cylinder Enduro.

     Darren Kelso, Jay McGillicuddy, Rob Whipple and Don Stevenson completed the top five feature finishers behind Marsden in the Pure Stock feature race. Kelso led the opening two circuits before Marsden took command of the field on lap three. Greg McMullen, Rick DeGroff, John Phillips, Phil Norman and Ted Crawford completed the top ten feature finishers.

     Darren Forbes, Kevin Doll, Tim Burdick and Lowell Zehr finished in positions second through fifth behind Garafolo in the Dwarf Car feature race.  Tod Simons, Jeff Barker, Scott Nash, Tim Devendorf and Mark VanLuven completed the top ten feature finishers. Garafolo led the first four circuits of the main event before Forbes slipped by on lap five. On lap 10 Garafolo took the top spot back from Forbes and he would lead the rest of the distance.

     In the Four Cylinder Stock main event Wassner claimed his first ever feature victory in his rookie season of competition. Jeff Herbert, Jim Lalone, Aaron Backus and Lorrie Herbert followed Wassner across the finish line in the top five. Wassner led the entire distance in the main event.

     A total of 36 cars started the 30-lap Four Cylinder Enduro race. At the end Dan Hoffman Sr. was the race winner. Chad Guthrie, Troy Engerbretsen, Bill Werner and Jerry Herbert finished in positions second through fifth respectively. Chad Guthrie claimed the Fulton Speedway Four Cylinder Stock Track Championship with his second place finish.

     The next event at Fulton Speedway is slated for Saturday, September 27. Victoria Championship Races will be contested for the Dwarf Car, Four Cylinder Stock and Four Cylinder Enduro classes. Also in competition will be the Sportsman, Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks. Victoria 200 Weekend Qualifying spots will be awarded to the feature winner in all three classes. Hot lap sessions for the 358 Modifieds will also be offered. Pit gates will open at 3 p.m., grandstand gates at 4 p.m. and race competition will start at 6 p.m. Sunday, September 28 is the raindate for the event.
