TIM SEARS WINS SPORTSMAN FEATURE BEFORE RAIN WASHES OUT REMAINING FEATURES

FULTON, NY...Tim Sears claimed the 20-lap DIRT Sportsman feature race win last Saturday at Fulton Speedway on Coca-Cola /B B104.7 Radio Night. Sears was the only feature winner as the remaining three events were washed out. The DIRT Pro Stock and Pure Stock features will be made up on Saturday, August 16. The DIRT 358 Modifieds will battle in double features on Saturday, August 23.


     Jim Bowman, Donnie Wetmore Jr., Bill Shantel Jr. and Ryan Richardson completed the top five feature finishers in the DIRT Sportsman main behind Sears. On lap 16 Sears took the top spot away from Bowman and led the rest of the distance in the 20-lap event. Bowman had led the event from the start from the outside pole starting position.


     Mike Bowman, Jeremy Pitcher and Jim Bowman were DIRT Sportsman heat race winners. Ryan Richardson claimed the victory in the last chance consolation race. Jimmy Phelps, Tom Sears and Justin Hears were the DIRT 358 Modified heat race winners. Dave Meeks and T.J. Fitzgibbons were the DIRT Pro Stock heat race winners. Todd Storace, Chris Cunningham and Gary Barton won the Pure Stock heat events.


     Racing will continue this Saturday at Fulton Speedway with the DIRT 358 Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks, Pure Stocks and Four Cylinder Enduro racers all in action plus One on One Spectator Drag Races. The Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks will battle in double features. Regular admission prices will be in effect. Action will start at 7 p.m.


     On Saturday, August 23 the DIRT 358 Modifieds will compete in two 35-lap features. The DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks will also be in competition. Ladies Races will conclude the evening. Regular admission prices will be in effect for the bonus race program. Race time is set for 7 p.m.
