FULLER
EDGES RUDALAVAGE FOR THIRD DIRT 358 MODIFIED FEATURE WIN OF THE SEASON ON
TERRELL'S POTATO CHIPS NIGHT
FULTON, NY...Tim Fuller held off Jeff
Rudalavage to claim his third Fulton Speedway DIRT 358 Modified feature
win of the season last Saturday on Terrell's Potato Chips Night. It was
the second straight victory for the Edwards, N.Y. driver and his third
feature win in the last four events. The victory for the driver of the
B&F General Machine DIRT 358 Modified was worth $1,500.
Jim Witko raced out
to the early lead at the start of the Terrell's Potato Chips DIRT 358
Modified feature from the pole starting position. Witko would lead the
opening four circuits of the main event. Justin Haers took the top spot
away from Witko on lap five. Haers came charging from the eighth starting
position in search of his second win of the season at the Home of the
Dynomax Victoria 200.
With 10 laps complete
Haers continued to lead and was being followed in the top five by Craig
Terrell, Fuller, Jimmy Phelps and Jeff Rudalavage. Fuller moved into
second on lap 11 and quickly started to put the pressure on Haers. Haers
continued to hold off Fuller until his car lost power on lap 14. Fuller
inherited the lead at this point with Phelps, Terrell, Rudalavage and Dale
Planck following in the top five.
Rudalavage moved into
the second position on lap 16. Throughout the remainder of the race he was
able to stay with Fuller, but was never able to slip past. Fuller went on
for the win with Rudalavage settling for second. Craig Terrell had his
career best DIRT 358 Modified finish with a strong third place effort.
Planck maintained his point lead with a fourth place finish while Alan
Johnson came from the rear of the field to finish fifth.
Tim Sears returned to
the winners circle at the conclusion of the 20-lap DIRT Sportsman feature
race last Saturday night. Eric Richardson, Walt McArdell, Tom Juhl and
Mike Button crossed the finish line in positions second through fifth
respectively. Sears took the top spot away from McArdell on lap 14 and led
the rest of the distance.
Jason Rood won his
second Fulton Speedway DIRT Pro Stock feature race of the season last
Saturday night. Ray Maloney, John Pietrowicz, Jeremy Clark and Paul
Stoneburg completed the top five feature finishers in the 20-car field
behind Rood. On lap 14 Rood took the top spot away from Maloney and he
would lead the rest of the 20-lap distance.
Phil Marsden won yet
another Pure Stock feature race last Saturday night. Russ Marsden, Todd
Storace, Rob Whipple and Mark Davison completed the top five feature
finishers. Phil Marsden took the lead away from Russ Marsden on lap 13 and
was able to hold on for the victory in the 15-lap event.
