FULLER
WINS FIRST OF 2003 SEASON AT FULTON SPEEDWAY ON RIVERSIDE
INN NIGHT
FULTON, NY...Tim Fuller claimed his first Fulton
Speedway DIRT 358 Modified feature win of the season last Saturday on
Riverside Inn Night. The victory for the Edwards, N.Y. driver in the B&F
General Machine entry was worth $1,500. Fuller came charging from the 11th
starting position to take the lead away from Todd Burley on lap 13. Once in
front Fuller drove a flawless race to earn the victory at the Home of the
Dynomax Victoria 200.
Dave Reilley jumped
out to the early lead at the start of the Riverside Inn DIRT 358 Modified
feature from the outside pole starting position. Reilley led the first three
circuits of the main event. Dave Rauscher took the top spot away from
Reilley on lap four. Rauscher would lead the 25-car starting field through lap
10. Todd Burley became the third leader of the event on lap 11. It was on
lap 13 when Fuller took the lead away from Burley.
At the halfway point of
the Riverside Inn main event Fuller was being chased in the top five by
Burley, Dale Planck, Tom Kinsella and Jutsin Haers. Alan Johnson, Tom Sears,
Jeff Rudalavage, Roy Shields and Jim Witko raced in positions sixth
through tenth respectively at the halfway mark. Both Burley and Johnson headed
to the pits on lap 20 with flat tires. Both drivers returned, but
Johnson soon retired for the night.
With Fuller leading all
eyes were on Hears who was now up to second position after starting in the
25th starting position. Hears flipped his main car in a heat race and was
forced to debut a brand new car in the main event. In the closing laps Fuller
remained in command and claimed his first win of the season at Fulton
Speedway. Rudalavage passed Haers in the late going to finish second. Planck
maintained his point lead with a fourth place finish.
Kinsella had his best
outing of the season with a strong fifth place finish. Jim Mahaney recovered
from an early race mishap to finish sixth. Jimmy Phelps, Tom Sears, Jim Witko
and Burley completed the top ten feature finishers in the fast paced event.
Ryan Richardson won his
first DIRT Sportsman feature race of the season last Saturday night. Scott
Binns, Eric Richardson, Chad Phelps and Ron Loveless completed the top five
feature finishers behind Ryan Richardson. Ryan Richardson took the lead away
from Binns on lap 10 and led the rest of the distance in the 20-lap event.

season last Saturday night. Pat Hobbs, T.J. Fitzgibbons, Jack Terrell and Dave
Meeks completed the top five feature finishers behind Clark. Paul Stonegburg
led the first 10 laps of the main event before Clark took command of the field
on lap 11. Clark led the rest of the distance in the 20-lap event.
