FULLER
EDGES SEARS IN FINAL 358 MODIFIED FEATURE AT FULTON SPEEDWAY BEFORE THE
DYNOMAX VICTORIA 200 ON OCTOBER 5TH
FULTON, NY...Tim Fuller held off the late race
charge of Tom Sears to claim the 35-lap DIRT 358 Modified feature win at
Fulton Speedway last Saturday night. Fuller earned $1,500 for the victory
in the B&F General Machine DIRT 358 Modified. Sears had to settle for
second, but claimed the Fulton Speedway Victoria 200 Weekend All Star
spot.
Fuller raced out to
the early lead at the start of the feature event from the pole starting
position. Several minor caution periods slowed the event in the early
going. After ten circuits Fuller was being chased in the top five by
Sears, Jeremy Smith, John Ramsey and John Barker.
For a while it
appeared that Fuller was going to pull away from the field, but Sears had
a different plan. Throughout the last half of the event Sears pressured
Fuller for the top spot both in and out of lapped traffic. Sears came
alongside Fuller on several occasions but he was never able to take
command of the top spot.
Fuller was able to
hold off Sears for the feature win. Jeff Rudalavage was clearly the hard
charger in the race by coming from the 20th starting spot to finish
third. Ramsey and Smith completed the top five feature finishers. Phelps,
Paul Kinney, Tim Burnett, Mitch Gibbs and Jim Mahaney crossed the finish
line in positions sixth through tenth respectively.
Ryan Richardson
returned to the winners circle at the conclusion of the 20-lap DIRT
Sportsman feature. Jamie Christian, Tim Sears, Shawn Donath and Todd
Henderson completed the top five feature finishers behind Richardson.
Richardson took the lead away from Chrsitian on lap 12 and led the rest of
the distance in the 20-lap event.
T.J. Fitzgibbons
earned the 20-lap DIRT Pro Stock feature victory last Saturday night. Chad
Homan, Joe Palmer, Mike Cooper and Ray Maloney completed the top five
finishers behind Fitzgibbons. Fitzgibbons led the entire 20-lap distance
for the victory.
John Pietrowicz
claimed the Pure Stock feature win last Saturday night. Phil Marsden,
Waylan Wilczek, Bill Flask and Bruce Stanton followed Pietrowicz across
the finish line. Pietrowicz led the entire 15-lap distance.
Ray Wilson was the
winner of the 43-car Four Cylinder Enduro last Saturday night. Jay
McGillicuddy, Rodney Weaver, Mitch Pietrowicz and Carl Clothier finished
in positions second through fifth respectively.
Coming up this
Saturday is Family Fun Night. The show will include a Demolition Derby,
Pure Stocks, Four Cylinder Stocks, Dwarf Cars, Four Cylinder Enduro,
