SEVEN WINNERS CROWNED TO CONCLUDE THE 17^TH ANNUAL VICTORIA 200 WEEKEND

FULTON, NY…Seven drivers left the 17^th Annual Victoria 200 Weekend at Fulton Speedway last Sunday as feature event winners. Ryan Phelps (358 Modified Non-Qualifiers), Willy Decker (2003 Motorsports Expo Sportsman), Sean Lias (IMCA Modified), Mark Barker (Pure Stock), Chuck Powelczyk (Four Cylinder Stock), John Behron (Dwarf Car) and Jay McGillicuddy (Four Cylinder Enduro) were the feature winners on the final day of racing at the Home of the Victoria 200 for the 2002 season.

     Ryan Phelps won his first ever 358 Modified feature last Sunday afternoon. The young second generation driver turned in a flawless performance to win over the 39-car starting grid. Roy Shields, Kyle Wilson, Ed Strada Jr. and Tony Buffa completed the top five feature finishers behind Phelps in the 30-lap event.

     Willy Decker claimed the win in the 30-lap 2003 Motorsports Expo Mr. DIRT Sportsman Series race. Shawn Donath, Tom Sears Jr., Scott George and Jamie Christian followed Decker across the finish line.

     Sean Lias was the winner of the 25-lap IMCA Modified Championship race. Larry Bezner, Billy Dunn, Pete Neff and Danny Ody completed the top five feature finishers behind Lias.

     Mark Barker earned the win in the 20-lap Pure Stock title race. Dave Mannise, Steve Woodworth, Paul Mercier and Nathan Peckham completed the top five feature finishers behind Barker.

     Chuck Powelczyk was credited with the victory in the 20-lap Four Cylinder Stock title race. Jeff Herbert, Brian Evenden, Walt Van Epps and Bob Whipple crossed the finish line behind Powelczyk.

     John Behron won his first ever Dwarf Car main event in the race Sunday afternoon. Steve Miller, Tim Burdick, Dan Boyce and Dan Williams finished in positions second through fifth respectively.

     Jay McGillicuddy won the 50-lap Four Cylinder Enduro title race. George Kirchoff, Matt Parker, Rick Porter and Carl Clothier rounded out the top five feature finishers behind McGillicuddy.

     Action on Sunday concluded the 2002 season at Fulton Speedway. Track Management would like to thank the fans, competitors, race teams, sponsors and officials for their support throughout the season.
