FULLER CLAIMS VICTORIA 200 QUALIFYING SPOT WITH FEATURE WIN AT FULTON SPEEDWAY ON AUTO RECYCLING OF BREWERTON NIGHT

FULTON, NY...Tim Fuller earned a guaranteed starting position in the 16th annual Dynomax Victoria 200 at Fulton Speedway on September 29, with his feature win at the home of the Victoria 200 last Saturday on Auto Recycling of Brewerton Night. Fuller, a former winner of the Victoria 200, earned $1,500 for his victory in the B&F General Machine DIRT 358 Modified.

Aaron Excell jumped out to the early lead at the start of the DIRT 358 Modified feature from the pole starting position. Excell set a fast pace from the start and after five circuits he was being followed in the top five by Jeff Rudalavage, Jeff Kotary, Pierre Dageanis and Tom Sears Jr. Excell would lead the opening six laps of the main event. It was on lap seven when Rudalavage was able to slip past.

Once in front Rudalavage was looking to pull away from the field, but Fuller was clearly gaining ground using the extreme low side of the track. On lap 14 Fuller was finally able to work under Rudalavage after several circuits of trying to do so. At the halfway point Fuller was being followed in the top five by Rudalavage, Tim Burnett, Excell and Sears.

Rudalavage was able to close in on Fuller on several occasions in lapped traffic in the closing laps, but the lead never changed hands again. Fuller went on to the all important victory which gives him a guaranteed starting in the $20,000 to win Dynomax Victoria 200. Rudalavage had to settle for second with Burnett driving a solid race to finish third. Mitch Gibbs made a late race charge to finish fourth while Sears completed the top five feature finishers.

Jamie Christian claimed the win in the 20 lap DIRT Sportsman feature race last Saturday night. With the win Christian is now a guaranteed starter for the Car Quest Motorsports Expo DIRT Sportsman race that will be held on September 28 at Fulton Speedway. Tim Clemons, Tim Sears, Darryl Hagan and Donnie Wetmore Jr. completed the top five feature finishers behind Christian.

John Pietrowicz was the winner of the 20 lap Pro Stock main event last Saturday night. Pietrowicz was followed across the finish line by T.J. Fitzgibbons, Gerry Newman, Ray Maloney and Chad Homan. Newman received the guaranteed starting position in the DIRT Pro Stock title race that will be held on September 28 at Fulton Speedwayn by virtue of her third place finish.

Paul Mercier was the winner of the Pure Stock feature race last Saturday night. Mercier was followed across the finish line by John Pietrowicz, Todd Koegel, Dave Mannise and Russ Marsden. With his second place finish Pietrowicz becomes a guaranteed starter for the Pure Stock title race at Fulton Speedway on September 28.

Brian Evenden crossed the finish line first in the Four Cylinder Stock main event. With the win Evenden is now a guaranteed starter for the Four Cylibder Stock title race that will be held on September 30 at Fulton Speedway. Harvey Calkins Jr., Dave Myrto, Bob Whipple and Kevan Cook completed the top five feature finishers.

Action will continue this Saturday at Fulton Speedway with the Eve of Destruction Thrill Show. The great night of affordable family entertainment will consist of a Demolition Derby, Flame Throwing Cars, Pure Stocks, a Four Cylinder Enduro and One on One Spectator Races. Admission is only $5 and children nine years of age and under will be admitted free of charge. Gates will open at 5 p.m. with show time set for 7 p.m.
