Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility Presents High Speed Thrills This Saturday July 21 At The Fulton Speedway

FULTON, NY - July 16, 2012 (By Dave Medler) -  The Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility that produces NASCAR fuel just down the road on Route 57 from the Fulton Speedway, and the title sponsor of the Outlaw 200 presented by SUNY Canton September 28-29 presents racing this Saturday night at the speedway.

On the race card will be the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, NAPA Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman and Parts Plus Four Cylinder Stocks.

Last Saturday night, Mike Bowman picked up the big, popular win in the Big Block Modifeds. Over the last dozen laps, Bowman outran points leader and future Hall Of Famer Billy Decker. With Bowman's victory he became the ninth different winner in the 800 horsepower, clay slinging division.

After a rough start to the season, defending track champion Jeremy Pitcher seems to be he hitting his stride after his win on a last lap pass last Saturday. For Pitcher it was his third win of the year. Jordan Bennett shows the way in the point standings, followed by, Tom Juhl, Jim Spano, Jeremy Pitcher and Beth Schneider.

Larry Wight still shows the way in the NAPA Late Models with six victories. Rick Miller, Tim Sears Jr., Dave Talbot and AJ Kingsley chase Wight in the top-five in the point standings.

Chris Hulsizer showed the cool driving ability of a veteran in winning his first E&V Energy Novice Sportsman last Saturday night. Hulsizer led most of the way of the feature, and then looked like he was going to give the lead and win to Kyle Fink, Hulsizer had other ideas. Hulsizer dug down deep, got up on the wheel and took the top-spot back as he was the first under the checkers for his first ever win.

In the fun and unpredictable Parts Plus Four Cylinder Stocks, Skip DeGroff holds a slim four point lead over Eric M Zirbel. Just ten points out of first in third is Mark Johnston, followed by Keith Zirbel and Matt Dawson.

Gates will open this Saturday July 14, at 5:00 with racing starting at 7:00. Adult grandstand admission will be $12 with everyone 18 years old and younger admitted FREE to the grandstands.
