BREWERTON, NY, May 7, 2012 (By Dave Medler) – Joe August Jr. Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds and Ron Davis III SUNY Canton Sportsman are this week’s NAPA Know How Award Winners.
At the Brewerton Speedway, Friday, May 4th, Joe August Jr. had the run of his career at the speedway. With no sponsors on the car and just a love for racing, August grabbed a fourth place finish against some of the best drivers in the Northeast in the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified feature.
At the Fulton Speedway, Saturday May 5th, almost 30 SUNY Canton Sportsman signed in the pits. Ron Davis III who was the 2011 E&V Energy Novice Sportsman Champion showed it was well deserved. In the 20 lap feature, Davis battled drivers with years more racing experience finishing fourth at the checkers.
For their performances, both August and Davis, will receive $100 “NAPA Know How Performer of The Week” that is awarded weekly at both Brewerton and Fulton Speedways to one driver that outperforms all others that week across all classes.
The new NAPA Brewerton and Fulton Speedway Racer Discount Card are again in place. Each active speedway competitor will receive a NAPA card that will provide discounted pricing on most racing related purchases throughout the 2012 race season. Drivers will need to sign up with Speedway officials to be eligible for the program.
