Billy Decker Set To Lead The Fulton Regulars In Search Of The $20,000 To Win 26thAnnual Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility Outlaw 200 By SUNY Canton

2011 Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified Track Champion Billy Decker and the Gypsum Wholesalers, Stadium International Trucks, Integra Racing Shocks, Bicknell, No.91 will lead the Fulton Speedway regulars this Saturday October 1st in trying to keep home the $20,000 top prize at the 26thAnnual Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility Outlaw 200 By SUNY Canton.

Unlike shorter races during the season Decker related the approach to the Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility Outlaw 200 presented by SUNY Canton is geared car wise more towards the end of the race.

“The track is going to make a big swing from the start till towards the end of the race. If Mother Nature doesn’t step in, you have a pretty good idea what it’s going to be, so you prepare for that.”

“You don’t really prepare for the beginning of the race; you just take what the car gives you. If you screw up before the 10 minute break you can just try to hang around (towards the front) and get ready for the second 100 laps.”

“We basically do what the race-car tells us. Use the last 30 laps of the first 100 laps to prepare for the second 100; hopefully you make the right adjustments so you’re good at the end.”

When asked about all the legends and top-notch drivers who have entered and havent won the 200 what makes it so hard to win?

“It’s just Fulton. You have to be really well balanced. It’s actually one of the most fun races we do there, because it is 200 laps, it’s a great payday, more times than not, the best car wins that race. That’s why you have to be so well prepared.

Defending champion Brett Hearn will the lead the charge of a stout field of outsiders looking to steal the twenty-grand.

“I visualized it for about 20 times for the last 20 years and it just never came. I think we did it in a big way coming from the consi cars,” said a smiling Hearn last year when asked if he ever thought the day would come getting his first ever Fulton Speedway win.  Hearn picked the right time to grab that win and finally conquered the one crown jewel in dirt modified racing that was missing from his trophy case.
