Champions To Be Crowned This Saturday September 3rd At The Fulton Speedway

Seems just like yesterday we were starting the 2011 season at the Fulton Speedway. This Saturday September 3 all the hard work in the race shops, at the track, the victories and disappointment will all come to a conclusion as the regular points season wraps up.

In the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, defending track champion Jimmy Phelps holds a 29 point lead over Billy Decker. Anything can happen. Going into this past week’s racing, Billy Decker held a 2 point lead over Phelps till mechanical problems sent him to the pits for the night. Jimmy Phelps, early in the feature got turned around and stopped within inches of slamming the wall. In the words of Yogi Berra “It ain’t over till it’s over”.

Also on the race card Saturday night will be the SUNY Canton Sportsman where Jeremy Pitcher will be crowned champion for the second year in a row. Seven different drivers have visited victory lane where car counts stayed healthy all season long where sixty different drivers have challenged the “High Banks” in the 2011 season.

Tim Sears Jr. will look to put an exclamation point on his season this Saturday in the NAPA Late Models as he sits atop the point standings. For only its second season in existence, track officials were pleased as the class continues to grow with car counts steady in the high-teens and great fender to fender racing on a weekly basis.

The E&V Energy Novice Sportsman, Four Cylinder Stocks plus the Mod Lites will have the Doug Cooper Memorial this Saturday night.

On Saturday, September 10th TK99 Classic Rock 99.5/105.5 presents Eve of Fire and Destruction Chris Morena's Fabulous Stunt Show, Demo Derby, 100-lap Four and Six Cylinder Enduro each paying $1,000 to win plus a Huge Fireworks Display.
